Environment and the Indian Constitution | Abhayraj Naik

At a time when the State is looking to make sweeping changes to environmental laws in the country, this discussion (held on 04.10.2020) is an attempt at going back to the basics and endeavoring to understand environmental governance in India and the constitutional framework laid down for it. Through the discussion, we will seek to examine the deliberations in the Constituent Assembly on environment as a subject-matter while also tracing the development of environmental jurisprudence in the country.
