“Give me a mother who will teach her son to sense/hear/see a ‘no’ from a woman and not
construe a ‘yes’ as per his moral mathematics” -Rao
A response to the Delhi 2012 gang rape incident, Walk is a monologue directed at the notion
of safe and unsafe public spaces. The performance by Maya Rao intends to trigger debates on the existing
notions of safety and gender.
