Janasnehi Bussigaagi is a bus festival organized by Bengaluru Bus Prayaanikara Vedike (BBPV), as part of its efforts to reach out to public and build conversations around the bus and the city. The Vedike reached out to the children of Bengaluru, who are neglected group of bus users in the city. Discussions were held with children in schools and learning centres to understand their experiences and the issues they face while traveling in buses in the city. A questionnaire was also administered and data collected on questions around their experiences. At the Makkala Adalat, a report will be presented and a few selected children will share their experiences and interact with the officials from BMTC and relevant government departments and the general public.

Program Schedule
2.30 – 2.35: Introduction to BBPV
2.35 – 2.45: Introduction to Makkala Adalat and presentation of the report and key findings
2.45 – 3.15: Children speak about their experiences and issues
3.15 – 3.45: A panel of officials and child rights experts respond to the children’s issues *
3.45 – 4.15: Open discussion

* Representatives from BMTC Management and Union and Child Rights experts will participate in the panel.

We invite you to participate in this event, listen to the children and share your inputs and suggestions too. Please circulate this widely and invite more people to participate. Any children who wish to raise any concerns around the bus system are welcome to participate.
