You are invited to the book release of ‘Passion for Justice: Mukul Sinha’s Pioneering Work’ a collection of interviews and writings on his life and work, published by Friends of Mukul Sinha.


Mukul Sinha, who passed away on 12 May, 2014, was a human rights lawyer and trade union activist. He did pioneering work on ensuring accountability for the victims of the 2002 Gujarat pogrom, and on a range of labour rights issues.

We aim to honour his memory through the release of this book.
On the occasion Saumya Uma, Assistant Professor & Assistant Director, Center for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy, will speak on his trailblazing contribution to a jurisprudence on encounter deaths, Clifton D’Rozario, Advocate will share his thoughts on the challenges of human rights lawyering today and the session will be moderated by Arvind Narrain, Founder Member of the Alternative Law Forum.
